Permanent Courtyard Display
After my senior project presentation, my professors requested that I leave the courtyard model with the university. They really liked the idea and thought that the model would be a display piece that could inspire new students, as well as be a fun talking piece for people who visited the building. I agreed to leave it with them because I personally didn’t have anywhere to store it at my house, and I figured leaving it in a display would be better than having to store it away somewhere it couldn’t be seen.
I transferred the display from my presentation into a nearby display window in our building that hadn’t been used for a while. The installation actually wound up being more difficult to do than I initially thought because the model needed to be laid on a slanted base so it would be more visible to viewers. In addition to that, the large banner in the back kept falling off the foam backboard because it was too heavy, so I had to nail it into place using some more heavy-duty product. If you ever visit Walla Walla University, you can see this model in the lobby of the CTC!
